Two AAfPE members were awarded Honorary Membership at the AAfPE 2016 Annual Conference: Ronald Goldfarb and Joan Marler. Ron has been an AAfPE member for 21 years and recently retired from Middlesex County College after 28 years as a paralegal instructor. Joan has served as a volunteer leader for nearly two decades, as an AAfPE Board of Directors member, the Southeast Region Director, AAfPE treasurer and as a LEX Chair. Honorary memberships may be conferred annually upon two persons who have provided outstanding service to the organization, but are no longer actively involved in paralegal education through AAfPE. Honorary membership status confers on the individual lifetime membership in the organization, a subscription to The Paralegal Educator, and a $100 credit toward the annual national conference registration fee.
