Sanction Training

This session provides an introduction to Sanction software and its optimizing use of technology in the courtroom.  It will provide an in-depth opportunity to learn basic Sanction concepts including managing evidence, working with deposition video and transcripts, and presenting evidence.  Attendees will also learn how to use Sanction in the classroom as a document organizer and presentation tool.

CaseMap/Time Map/Note Map/Text Map Training 

CaseMap makes it easy to organize, evaluate, and explore the facts, the cast of characters, and the issues in a case.  TimeMap 4 makes it easier to create polished timeline graphs.  NoteMap outliner lets you create, edit and use outlines — far easier than creating outlines with word-processing software. TextMap is transcript summary tool. Four sessions for the price of one!

1. Alternatives to Traditional Legal Research

Online legal research is different.  Formulating a search is key.  Using Wimba Live Classroom ®, which integrates with Blackboard ®, allows the instructor and students to be in a virtual classroom. Attendees will learn how to teach and meet live online

2. Internships:  What Your Students Need to Know to Succeed

What makes a good internship?  What do students need to do to prepare?  What is the value of the internship experience?  How can supervisors help?  Attendees will get ideas about dos and don’ts, guidelines to use, rubrics for grading, and other tools.
