Institutional Membership is available to schools offering paralegal
and legal assistant education programs that are either approved
by the American Bar Association or in substantial compliance with
the ABA guidelines and accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting
agency. As an Institutional Member, one representative from that
school is able to vote at the annual business meeting as well as
the institution receiving full membership benefits.
Benefits include : two listservs (one general and one for technology) for answers to pressing questions and shared ideas with colleagues; The Paralegal Educator, a magazine published three times a year; The Sidebar, a three times a year online newsletter; membership directory; reduced registration fees for the annual conference as well as regional conferences; the ability to establish a chapter of Lambda Epsilon Chi, the national honor society (if criteria are met); and resource materials and services. Institutional members off AAfPE exercise a voice on decisions affecting the paralegal profession.
Dues are $375 annually (January 1 – December 31).
