AAfPE has developed a series of Model Syllabi that are offered as teaching aids to:
• New paralegal instructors
• Experienced instructors teaching a new subject
• Instructors seeking to supplement, revise, or compare their own syllabi to ones created by other experienced instructors

Each year, new syllabi are added to the collection and several of the older ones are updated to maintain currency. We hope these works are helpful to our membership and others.
However, no one syllabus will fully meet the instructional needs of widely-varying curriculum structures in all program types and in all kinds of schools. Therefore, these Model Syllabi are not to be taken as mandatory. Rather, instructors are urged to use them as a starting point, adding and deleting material as they deem appropriate.

Text references and bibliographic material in Model Syllabi reflect personal experience, judgment, and findings. In addition, as new texts and other resources are appearing on the market at a rapid pace, no assurances can be made as to the completeness of these references. Instructors are urged to update and expand these references and listings in keeping with their own needs.
The AAfPE Board of Directors and membership express gratitude to these volunteers for the time, research, and expertise they bring to this effort.

The AAfPE library of syllabi has been compiled on a series of compact disks that are available for purchase through the downloadable order form. At the present time, there are three CDs in this series. The original disk is a compilation of .pdf formatted files. As new works are added and revisions to the originals are made, the newer disks are in completely editable Word files. Each of the CD contents are listed on the order form.
